Smile So simple Sooooooo stupit

The weather was to say the least very wet they said there would be showers!!! didn't say 1 shower would last 6 hours lol
Got ready sorted all my Equipment out ok so far so good *apart from the rain*
Walked up to Gilford Castle it looked lovely *apart from the rain* met all the guys and girls greeted each other with zest and smiles looking forward to the shoot *apart from the rain*.lol
Started to shoot not going so all arrows going to the left looked at THE BOLT
(name of my bow) still didn't see anything wrong, carried on and tried to shoot more to the right to get the arrows on the target. The guys I was with where keeping my spirts up and we where having fun *apart from the rain*
Ok 1st half over in for lunch kept looking at the bow inbeween slurps of tea felt like giving up at this stage.
Out for the 2nd half still smilling *sort of* *apart from the rain*
OK on the 3rd target another group caugth up with us was chatting away when one of the group asked if I always shoot with my limbs on upside down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well as you can guess highly emberssing for me while 7 men standing around laughing thier little heads off, wanted the ground to open up so I could jump in lol
Got my limbs put on the right way, with confidends in tatters I carried on in the rain *just incase you forgot it was raining* I improved my score a little.
To add insult to injury I at the beginning of the shoot I had persaued another lady archer to try the blue pegs for the 1st time jokinly I said "if you get a better score than me I'm giving up archery" lol
Well what do you think for someome who can't but her limbs on right and got beating by a lady who went to blue pegs for the 1st time should I give it up as a bad job lol

By The Way I got soak you know with all the rain and that lol

Will never live this down

Bernie

P.S going on Thursday to get eyes tested before someone suggests it lol

I've done it as well, but JohnK tactfully pointed it out to me just before a field shoot. "I didn't realise that it didn't matter which way round Winex limbs were fitted" he said

i almost did that at the euronations last year!!! (luckly one of the coaches with us relised before it was too late!!) Also my friend shot half of a double western with her limbs upside down (she also wondered why she was shooting so badly...until i pointed it out to her (i felt so bad that it was me who had to break it to her))

Come to the dark side and leave your string on all the time.

Yeah then I step on the line with my recurve sight on my compound and wonder why the picture is funny. And when I go to draw it back I realise I got my fingertab out instead of my release aid.

On a bad day it can take a bit of toing and froing before I have a set up appropriate for one discipline.

Although I have not yet left my arrows at home. Many a friend has though.
