Actually the wilder a newbie misses at ULA's range the better. At least arrows can be rescued fairly intact from filing cabinets and wood-covered arches. Straight over the target and they end up meeting a sloping sheet of iron

One training course I helped out on at EA had some kid hit the top-side of the target and the arrow fly off left through a huge hedge, over a stream and into the cow infested field. I wonder how far the farmer would have flipped out if he'd managed to hit one!
