just been out into my newly floodlit garden for a spot of warm winter evening practice (or more accurately a 'what the hell am i doing wrong / different this particular week and how do i fix it ? ' session)

following up the current chaos of a clicker thread i took my little .mp3 player with me (dont normally shoot to music like that) to test the 'feel not hear the clicker' theory

warmed up with a few 'normal' ends then plugged into the music - alkaline trio blasting my eardrums into oblivion - DEFINITELY not going to hear a clicker through that i think cheerfully

draw up - aim - squeeze - feel the clicker go - release - BANG !!!

OUFFF !!! as it suddenly feels like my ears are being ripped from my head

watch in slow motion as my earbuds and the little plastic neck hanger thing are hurled down the garden to hit the target shortly after the arrow (arrow landed in the black - i think the earbuds scored in the blue - can i call a bouncer for that ? )

the arrow had caught a flapping wire on the way past and taken everything with it (except the player itself which stayed firmly attached to my arm as the wires snapped further down)

Now i make sure that the cables are down my back and into my back pocket so no risk of catching wires + i only keep my left hand earpiece in when actually shooting

have killed a set of iPOD ear plugs doing this... lol

and it was just after thinking that i need to fold the wires back more carefully...
