How not to set up a bow

A few weeks back, I took it upon myself to set up my new Inno limbs on my spare riser.

I decided that I didn't want to shoot my Navs off it so I set up the rest and nocking point for some alis.

I shot it for the first time tonight....I discovered that

1 - the nocking point was 1/8" too low
2 - the centre shot was a tad out - there was daylight between the rh edge of the shaft and the string.
3 - the X7's are a little on the stiff side

I shot 4 arrows at a time, three fletched, one bare.

the fletched arrows went more or less in the middle of the boss where I aimed them, the bare shaft just about made it onto the boss - by about 4" high left, an adjustment of nocking point brought the bareshaft down to more or less level with the group and a realignment of centreshot brought the shaft in towards the centre by a couple of inches.

The stiffness I can do nothing about...

but the rest...suffice it to say, never again will I attempt to set up my bow while under the influence of several large bourbons..

T.
