Unhappy Why do these things happen?

Feeling bored and having the place to myself I decided to whizz a few arrows down the garden. I have an enclosed area where I can shoot 25 yds down the side of the house. The only thing there apart from the target is a washing line which runs next to and parallel to my shooting area(or garden path as the wife refers to it).On arriving with bow and arrows I noted that my Domestic goddess had hung a couple of towels and a blouse out to dry, couldn't be bothered to move them so there they stayed. So started shooting ,and all was going well, until I was at full draw with the sight on gold and a gust of wind caught the washing, the towels didn't move but the blouse went horizontal, at that same instant my arrow started to wander in the direction of the target. Unforetuneately arrow and blouse occupied the same space for a short period of time, noted I had only got a 7, not impressed so far, and then thought I had better check the blouse now one hole I could have got away with, but that fl****ing arrow had made 9 holes in passing through my wife's favourite blouse. Nine holes , I ask you is that reasonable, one of my pet hates is inanimate objects that don't behave as they should. I have been trying to think of an excuse since it happened, so far "moths"is the best I have come up with. I suspect there will be repercussions!

ROFL

Now if the clothes had been arranged differently on the line, the towels could have stood up to such an event.

Faeces happenicus

Suggest that it got caught up in the washing machine drum and buy her a new one (washing machine or blouse).

Lying to your spouse will never get you anywhere. She'd be more impressed if you just fessed up, were extremely apologetic and already had a new blouse to give her. Then she can wear it when you take her out for a very nice meal with some grovelling for dessert.

9 Holes from one arrow.Wow, bet you can't do that again! I'm amazed it went right through. it must have been a very thin garment. My bedroom curtains stopped an X7 dead. it pulled them of the rail in the process but I only ended up with two holes, and a shed load of broken curtain rings. Confess all mate, it's the only way.

Strangely my wife isn't daft, she will know exactly what happened, but a straightforward confession would be far to easy.At the moment I am going for "devine intervention", following the lead of the insurance companies, and going for the "Act of God clause". It only seems fair to spread the blame! The nine hole side of it is a bit worrying because it does look a bit like St Sebastian was wearing it when he was executed by arrows (no blood in this case). It was only ONE arrow!
