I've only done that at 20 yards so far, and I felt like curling up with embarrassment. I don't think I'd have survived a 90m walk back.

I did! My first ever Fita (last year). Dropped it at the boss end and didn't realise 'til I was back at the line - did a little dance whilst trying to decide if I had time to get a spare from my bag, and ended up shooting bare fingered.....not my best end!

I've done it quite a few times while practising, but never at a tournament. If i did leave my tab at the target during a tournament, i would probably get my spare one from my case.

Not so easy when you're on traffic lights and you only miss the tab when you go to pull it from your belt on the line!

Thank you - that advice has been given since the incident, along with don't keep your puller and your tab in the same pouch....

I heard of a competition where Pete Garner left his release aid more than once at the target - he didn't admit to it in the end!!!

I keep mine in my pouch, I used to leave it on my bow but then I got to thinking what would I do if it went missing?!!!!

Answer: take the spare out of your quiver & use that instead - you do have a shot in & identically set up spare don't you? (I do after having this demonstrated to me on a coaching day )
