I would nominate, but...

I would like to nominate my friend for an award, but he has yet to register on here, so it'll have to be a verbal one for now.

The other week on the shooting line beside me there was an almighty thump and he had managed to not only fire his arrow down the line but also one of his limbs!!
I must admit I was always a little dubious of the international fit limbs when I had a Hoyt Recurve, but never had any issues. It obviously wasn't seated quite right. Luckily he wasn't injured and there was no damage done and we all just had a good laugh!

That takes quite some doing, especially for them to have managed to be strung without falling apart.

Did the arrow score though ?

Theres nothing wrong with the international limb system, it's foolproof. The problem lies with evolution. Invent something foolproof and evolution will develop a response.

must admit I've been close a while back - fully strung but not shot - I was very twitchy taking it down
Regardless - a worthy achievement!

I think it did hit the target, although I'm not sure where, I was too impressed by the limb flying!
I know his Helix has always been a little tight to fit the limbs in or remove them, hence he thought he'd fitted them in fine.

Maybe we need a Fonz award plus bar. For those events when we do something totally, utterly stupid, but we get away with it. Like shooting the limb down the range, but the arrow actually scores. Dave......?
