Putting your fingers where they shouldn't be...

I was having a slight problem with one of the novices that I was coaching, no matter what I tried she kept locking her bow arm elbow out and subsequently thwacking it with the bow-string.

After showing her how to keep her elbow bent, forcing it to face out, I eventually decided to physically hold her arm bent to show her what it should be like. So one hand on her shoulder, the other holding her elbow bent. She draws the bow back and keeps the elbow bent. Success???

Nope.

Just as she's about to release she suddenly locks her elbow out and let goes of the string. With my fingers still holding her elbow.

Well, I'm not going to do that again!!!

You managed to shoot yourself in the hand without even holding a bow - that's got to be worth something here.

Got my finger between cam & string when messing with on of my lite storms & the bow press once. One of those "your finger shouldn't be there.........." too late

You need to look at her bow hand position, and make sure she's not lifting her shoulder.....

however, yes, that is funny

Kae.

This is why i'm kinda glad that i lost the coach election on monday... dosn't mean i get annoying things like that happen when i can spend my time shooting.. and hopefully breaking arrows (though not any expensive ones)

Worth of two Fonzes - one for the accident, and the other for coaching bent bow arm.

was looking through the titles as only sad people do - or they are on the computer instead of writing a whole ****ing essay in french - of which i am both and i noticed this one, now, using your skill and judgement (remembering the brain that all archers appear to share) what do you think i read the title as being about?

just thought i should mention it....

I don't know.. you've told me on several occations that you're pure and innocent etc. And we all know that women are always right (or at least say that to keep you happy)
