Angry New Arrow Curse

Ok my son must be the curse of new arrows, today I had a set of brand new arrows made up for him At Chiltern Archery. During his third end he managed to fire one into the ironwork of the building, exit one Arrow. His last set whilst shooting in the garden for the first time he managed A Robin Hood destroying two of the new set
Give me strength.

I think they have that iron work there just to promote arrow sales...

My first loose of my brand new spangly X7s sailed over the boss and hit the wall....I had heavier arrows, so moved the sight down to compensate and was sure I didn't need a backstop net on my boss.

I think you get 'damage panic' with new arrows - it seems very fresh how much you have just paid for them!!!

He, he !
During the last 3D shooting I did, a kid dropped his whole set of new arrows. His poor mother managed to look for them in every thickets... without success. Later fortunately, we found the little devils on our way back. I hope the good mother took them back before she buy new ones...

Ah. The first rule of archery strikes again, as stated on AF many years ago:

"There are usually 10 fundamental laws for most things, so I guess there must be for archery. I would like to propose Law Number 1, as follows:

The word "complete" when associated with the phrase "set of arrows" is an oxymoron.

Or in other words: "It is not possible to have a complete set of arrows".

I tend to agree, shall we start a bet on how long it will take for me to smash one of my new X10's when I get outdoors.
