Peep Sight Issues

I am new to this game and no one saw me so it wont be an award winner.

I was shooting on the field and for some reason my peep was twisted by 90 degrees on the draw so I could not see through it at all, I thought what the hell close my left eye line up the black dot with the scope open my eye and shoot it will be near enough . What I did not realise (which should have been obvious) was that with a peep sight blocking the view of the scope from my right eye, my left eye took over when I aimed at the target So far that is the only arrow i have lost, it is in our field somewhere and may turn up probably when it gets mowed .

Genesis peep

I once fitted a Genesis peep. (the one with the ball that can be turned to align it easily) I was testing that the height was correct and dry fired the bow. The peep shot into the window and ended up in bits(not the window)
More unusual though, the nock set flew off the string too and when I found it,it was still totally closed!

One of our club members was entered into a local clout tournament. The night before the tournament he quickly setup his old compound as a "clout" bow. This included putting a peep sight in it.

The next morning he arrived at the tournament, got his bow out and found much to his suprise that the peep was below the nocking point.

He'd must have had the bow the wrong way up when he put the peep in and can't have checked its position by drawing the bow. He had to very quickly get out a portable bow press and move the peep. It cause quite a bit of amusement for the rest of us.
