| I jinxed the weather... Our beginners course starts tomorrow, Sunday the 9th of April. As club secretary, I'm organising it. I had a call from one of the beginners asking whether it would still be on after the rain showers we've been having. "Yes," I said, "we'll only postpone it if there's snow". As I spoke, I heard a clattering on the windows -- blummin' hailstones! Very heavy hail for about 15 minutes, then it turned to snow... Me and my big mouth.   | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We shot in the snow today, actually I only shot about 3 dozen arrows and then put my bow away!! But womble played with his longbow and his beginner shot also (as did 3 other members that turned up).

| I was just having a good laugh at your post when my daughter ran in all exited, its snowing here now and its heavy, well got my fix in yesterday so I'm OK for a few days.

| The beginners course went well today. All 14 turned up, so I won't be making them pound round the rugby pitch next week. We were able to keep dry as well by shooting from the stand, so we had a roof and non-muddy standing. Unfortunately I can't claim to have shot outdoors, since under FITA rules the presence of a roof put us indoors! Daft ha'porths. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| There was I stood in the garden in T-shirt and shorts giving it the first good mowing of the season and wondering what these Yorkshire types were talking about. Five minutes later I was stood ankle deep in white stuff.... Still, it beats the usual rain
