Having done it with someone else's bow (hence the Fonz above) I then did it again in the range infront of the entire group of begninners. I was being accused of cheating by using my bow rather than the trainer bows so decided to try one of the trainer bows to show how simple it is. And to think that I used to get told off for gripping my bow.

womble kept his finger sling on last week when he shot his longbow....just in case



I did get caught out when having a sneaky go with our nephew's lightweight longbow (upstairs, about 4/5 yards) - it hit the gold and bounced off!!

I've never done this, but back when my wife used to shoot I saw her do it.

She was using her light fibreglass bow (she's disabled, and couldn't always draw her 42lb traditional recurve) and shooting indoors at 20 yards. The bow went 10 yards and the arrow hit the X.

Did that on saturday doing a demonstration for a group of scouts. thankfully not my own bow and from only 12yds away i still only got 3 points on a 122cm face as well.
