JCB's and Archery Don't Mix

After enjoying a lovely night at an almost deserted club field - (100 yards into a fantastic sunset), we paused to watch a large JCB thingy on tracks levelling one of the adjacent sports fields. A beer and a natter later and it had gone dark. We go back to the car park and I reverse out of my normal parking space with my usualr flair after a cursory glance in the mirrors, and am in deep conversation with RGS about his new Bowtec. Suddenly car comes to a crashing halt making expensive crunching noises.

We get out to find that the JCB guy has parked it right behind me, but did I spot it Oh No! It's only half the size of a house, about 40 tons and bright yellow - not a scratch on it of course - I hit the big cast iron weight at the back. My car is dented, my pride is in the gutter, RGS is laughing his head off (that's the worst part!). What happened to my evening....! Land rover can't even book me in for an estimate for three days and the wife is giving me one of her looks!

That's it!!! Cheers LMP - I will rush and tell the wife (she's not saying much at the moment, but is washing the front step with enough force to lift the tiles - this is not a good sign!).

"Look out Captain - Klingon digger de-cloaking on the Starboard Bow, aft sheilds at at minimum - we canna' take another hit!!

Well after the usual sucking of air through his teeth, the Landy guy quoted £70 for the real light cluster, so I guess around £250 - £300 tops, after they have finished hammering the dent out. It was so ironic that after saying I could not afford to buy a bowtec, I am suddenly sweeping a similar sum up off the floor in bits - life can be cruel at times!.

Now you have the right idea Can't see Mrs Max seeing it quite that way. " hello dear I have just smashed my car into a JCB, but don't worry, I'm going to buy a new bow " hmmm not going to work is it, result....

what if you dont let her see that side of the car....?
or just say it is a new aerodynamic feature. go faster dents. like the "speed holes" in the simpsons
orrrrrrrrrr wait until she goes to drive it and then run out into and pretend she hit you, then point and go "ommmmm look what you did!" and tut a lot
might work....maybe..
