Arrow Crisis again...

...my arrows get me all sorts of fonz nominations.

Shooting last week with Gibbon and Kellog, I had a miss at 90m. Gibbon, shooting my compound also had a miss while he was getting used to his release aid. Having retrieved his arrow (An ACC) with a call of "Hey, Look, i've found a cheap one...", we spent a good 20-30min looking for one of my errant arrows.

Nothing seen, we retired to pack up kit and continue with our plans for the evening.

Later that night, We were all parked up back at the ranch, sorting out some dodgy fletchings. At some point it struck me. I had 5 arrows next to me that were done, and 2 on my lap to do. Kellog had 4 on her lap that were being used as donors.

I only bought 11 arrows.

I genuinely can't explain what happened - I counted them all out and back in. My most humble appologies to Gibbon and Kellog for wasteing valuable practice time before a big competition.

Those X10s are special hidey arrows too! I heard your missing arrow from yesterday turned up. Where was it?

This happened the other day at my club - a group of us spent ages looking for someone's arrow with no joy.

He let us know on Sunday that the lost arrow was found..... on his driveway !

He reckons he must have dropped it loading the car and found it when he returned home !!

He blames the fact he was just practicing when he lost it so wasn't shooting 6 arrows at a time but anything up to a dozen so got confused when he went to collect them from the boss and there were we blaimng the cheap metal detectors !!
