Equipment

There was one shoot where I almost lost the will to keep shooting that day.

I was shooting at my local club. On the first end I walked up to the shooting line, only then realising I had no arrows in my quiver. I went back and got them, then walking back up to the line and realising I had no bracer on. I got my bracer and began to shoot, having a mild pain in my index and middle finger as I shot. It took me a few shots to realise I had also forgotten my tab!

I know lots of people have done this, but not many have done it 3 times in a row!

I once drove to Ponteland archery club to shoot a York competition but it was being held at Backworth archery Club luckily just something like 20 minutes away but was late enough to qualify for top Gonzo placing.

Top Gonzo indeed. I may forget my equipment, but I've never gone to the wrong club!

Well, actually I was once doing a drama rehearsal and we had to meet up at a nearby school, but then we acidentally went to the wrong school! Whoops!

Flying Whale has completed all 6 rounds of either the Archery Interchange VGP or Winter League
WL Ranking: '07 2nd Div. 3rd Place (Rec.)
SL Ranking: '07 1st Div. 2nd Place (Rec.)

Despite always consciously telling myself to put my arm guard on about 30 minutes before shooting, I can guarantee that 80% of the time the first shot hurts, because I have forgotten it.

I occassionally get up to the line only to realise I have forgotten some item of kit - but more often it's what I forget to remove after shooting - I have regularly come home wearing my arm guard and today managed to leave my release aid attached to my wrist (I have a Chocolate addiction and use an Ipod wrist strap so that I don't lose it). I didn't realise it was there until I took my coat off!!

i regularly forget my quiver because i take it off a lot during the evening.

our convenor came to a practice one night, took his quiver out his rucksack: " IT WOULD HELP IF I HAD BROUGHT MY F£(|<1NG BOW CASE!!!"
he was not a happy bunny.
