Has anyone seen my lost groupings?

Forgot about the change in hour today - no thats not it - so raced across town to et to the field to shoot today.

They allowed me to shoot "catch up" so I could join in and then they would watch me shoot the last couple of ends to allow my scores to count.
All good.
Shooting a long national to try and get my final 1st class score - doing ok, not as good as usual but still within reach.

Then 18 arrows before the end I started shooting high and left.
So I started aiming off.
Then I noticed my bow started making quite a loud bang noise as I shot and I lost all groupings.
I checked and retightened the stabs and continued....

No improvement.
So close to the end now ---- but the bang at release continued.
Hmmm....

I rechecked stabs but no they were tight.
checked sight - that was also tight

Last end to go.... 'come on, hold it together!' I was thinking.
If I get an all gold I am set.

But no - terrible scattered end.

Oh well.

It was only then that I noticed something I could not believe I missed.
My limb was snapped!!!

I shot the last dozen with a broken limb!!!!!
The limbs laminate was split and it had twisted as well.

I declare myself I complete and utter moron.
The limbs were second hand with the bow so no returning em to the shops so I am now out of pocket and have to wait another week to get my 1st.

Ouch! have some

Still look on the bright side, getting that close to a 1st class score with delaminated limbs shows you are shooting well above the level needed!

Get some new limbs, and that 1st is in the bag.

But surely if you forgot to change your clocks you would have been an hour early?

Yep, Looked at my watch and couldnt believe the time - I had missed archery?? that never happens, but I assigned myself to the fact I had missed the start of the shoot.

Then we noticed the time on a clock that auto-changes - there was still time!
So I texted a guy already there and told him to stall em all (heheh) jumped in the car, shot home, grabbed my gear and started to race across town to the ground...

Oh well - got new limbs now and my first full FITA round this weekend - so hopefully all will be well and good in the world again
