a few mistakes by myself

1. at a competition i went to once, the whistle was blown to begin shooting. i walked upto and past the not very clearly marked shooting line. i got stopped by someone on my target as i reached the 3metre line.

2. i left my sight mark at 50 yards setting, then went indoors to 20 yards. with a low ceiling, my acc didnt stand a chance.

You're not the first CP1, and you sure won't be the last.

P.S. Welcome to the board.

Not long after I started, I went to a small local shoot - short metric I think, and managed to come *very* last

It was only when taking down the bow (wooden riser TD1 type) I realised I'd spenbt the whole shoot with the limbs on upside down. No wonder the site marks were complete twaddle

It could have been worse, you could have had them on back-to-front.

At my first-ever clout shoot (3 weeks ago) I couldn't work out why my arrows were landing way, way over to the left. Took me nearly 5 'ends' to realise I was closing the wrong eye!

Last year I was shooting at the normal Sunday club indoor session managed to put the arrow on the button instead of the rest !!! (My excuse I was working nights and had not been to bed) safety curtain didn’t even slow it down. Concrete block walls aren’t good for ACC’s. Ah well 11 to go.

I did this when I had a target in the dining room at the end of the 15m corridor of a rental house. Left the sight on 40m and smashed an AFC and put a huge hole in the wall. To my shock I did not get in trouble from the wife!

I think I should make a "Fonz Lite" award for some of these clangers. We see them week in, week out but nobody ever seems to learn from our mistakes! Is this a sign of archery's complex nature or that archers are all a bit dim?
