It was cold after all.....

Despite there being only one witness I have to hold my hands up!
This a.m, in the bitter cold and frost/fog, I decided to keep a fellow club member company whilst he shot a 'needed' round. I was absolutely awful, but consistently so - couldn't work it out......
then when he was about half a dozen short of finishing I spotted the problem - NO BUTTON!!!

Genius! You should have poured anti-freeze in your ears, that might have thawed your brain out enough to notice the missing button.

It was a bit parky today. Four of us shot outside though, including a 14 year old girl, while most of the so-called northern so-called men cowered indoors.

You should always BUTTON-UP properly in cold weather, Tel.

Got up this morning to take my lad to an audition prior to heading off to the range, and while my back was turned (one last cup of coffee) his collection of stuffed penguins migrated to the roof and bonnet of my car - he said it made them feel more at home

Wish I'd had a camera!

Us Northern men may be a bit thick but we're not stupid

We had 20 archers on an out door shoot on sunday, fine weather and only needed a shirt under a polo shirt!

I've got to take care of some Schools this week allbeit for about an hour. Shooting in the open, & it's exposed as well. Today through to Friday inclusive. By all accounts we'll be shooting more than a "Frostbite" Friday, snow has been forcast. If I survive, I'll be back

I'm looking forward to the Bronte spotlight event in Feb - an evening shoot under flood light.... and by all accounts rather dubious weather!!

That didn't come from Simon @ Bronte though!!! lol

I don't care how foggy it was, you should have noticed the lack of button! Would you notice if you'd forgetten your string? Is it safe for you to be shooting a potentially deadly weapon? In the fog???
This thread potentially re-opens the debate about whether or not archery should be subject to more stringent controls. So I'll difuse it with a Fonz.
Well done you! Welcome aboard.
