Cool

Definitely deserving of Fonzeralla's finest accolade. It could only have been more impressive if you'd come to full draw before realising you were bowless!
As for you Marcus, you're just showing off: only a 2 point win? Pah! Should've stayed in bed! Almost reminds me of the fiasco at yesterday's shoot, but I'm still deliberating about who should get Fonzed for that one. Definitely Kevin H, probably me, probably one or two others. But I think we should leave that one for now.
Anyway, have a Fonz, both of you. Idiots!
Keep up the good works and spread the word. I want to see at least 1 Fonz award on every shooting line within the next 12 months.

Sorry, but I disagree. The Korean method surely starts with practice without a bow for many years until mental and physical form is perfected. Only then may the archer take up the bow. Pete is obviously following this path, and is on the way to being a true master. Let him try his bow again in 2007. Till then, his skill and patience is an example to us all.

No, come one Goldie, you've brought it up and now you should tell us - so long as it's not about my yellow pants fiasco or forgetting my banana, rucksack or bow stand in the rush to get to ASDA and do some shopping in full archery whites/yellows....

Cool

Gold Flinger has to be very careful what he says on this subject. As of Yesterday, Mr. H is now armed with a 4ft silver sword and has to be presumed dangerous.
Let's just say he needs to swat up on the FITA rules regarding the subtle difference 'twix "practice" and "sighters".
Either that, or he's come up with an ingenious way to see off the competition.
I think I'll let him elaborate when he sobers up from his Champagne-fuelled orgy of celebration.
My lips are sealed. (Although not particularly well!)

Let's just say you should never rush your need for the toilet just because you're shooting to traffic lights....

I'll let Goldy and Kevin provide words of wisdom for the rest of yesterday's little mishaps....

Let's just say that an esteemed member of this forum who will remain nameless (in case he comes after me and buckles my swashes with his 4ft silver claymoor) told another forum member (who's scared of swords) that the FITA 18 would be preceeded by half an hour of "practice".
The witless young novice shooter (me) took Highlander's advice on board, and as I'm nursing an horrific shoulder injury from a particuarly strenuous bout of aligator wrestling, I decided to shoot a couple of ends of sighters and then rest.
I nipped out to make a quick phonecall to my stockbroker, and came back to see groups of archers huddled round their targets, furiously scribbling their scores down.
As you can imagine, I was rather displeased to see that I'd scored 3 misses!
Anyway, all's well that ends well, and I used my zen-like calm nature to brush off my ire and shot a reasonably respectable score.
