Dunster 2007

Anyone thinking of going at all from here?

I rather fancy a relaxed Albion myself on the Tuesday

Ah, now Mufti, you have probably guessed that I'll be there - this year I'm staying down for the week with Mrs. tel - but Tuesday is a non-shoot day (so far ) I'm shooting Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday...

I've been for the past 3 years to shoot on the second weekend. It's probably my favourite shoot. I got my entry in early for the double york. Really looking forward to it.

This year will be my 18thyear shooting the Somerset Champs York, Fita on Monday and the double York the following weekend. This year I'll also be shooting the Clout for the first time on the Thursday

In 1993 I was fortunate enough to be the 1st Visitor Gent of the Fita round shooting Recurve. I remember it well - I got caught for speeding (94.56 mph) on the M5 going home. I was also feeling guilty for being away from home as my mother-in-law's funeral was on the previous Wednesday.

Dunster is a great back-drop for archery shoots, but can be a tad difficult if there is anything more than a light breeze!!!

Im down for the Somerset Champs and the double york. Really looking forward to getting back there after many years away. Think the last time I did the GWAS double york was possibly 1991 or 1992 (Champ in 1990). Fantastic location and cant wait to get back there.

You'll only be 77 (if I got it right) - one of our attendees was older than that when he started!
