| Recommend a club for a new guy? Hi there. I live in Plymouth and am interested in starting archery. I have e-mailed a couple of clubs i heard of in this link Devon and Cornwall Archery Society So far i havent recieved any response and so i was wondering if there are any AIUK members who are part of a club in or near Plymouth that they would recommend to me. Im interested in Field archery and im a complete beginner apart from 1 hours archery i took part in recently. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.  | |||||||||||

| Hello Mike! There are no field archery clubs in Plymouth but there are two NFAS clubs not too far away, one is Muscovey (Liskeard) and the other is Tavistock also a GNAS club. You can find out more by visiting www.nfas.org for details on these clubs. | Firstly, thanks a lot for the quick response OB. If you or anyone else would care to recommend any Target archery clubs in Plymouth i would be interested in giving those a call to at least take a starter/safety course with a local club and then if i dont get into target archery id probably explore the field archery more. I have only tried Field archery so having a go at target archery would seem a smart thing to do as well. Once again any help appreciated. | |||||||||||

| Looking for a club to join in Plymouth district. There is a local club that goes under the name of Yealverton Archers. Why not call up the Plymouth Library for details; ie secretary's phone number. Maybe the GNAS will have contcts - but you never know.....! Roy H

| Sorry I'm not from the area but have you looked at the GNAS website, it is how I first found my club. WRT contacting clubs be patient I have often found it takes a while to get responses, without generalising club organisers are generally the sort of people who don't spend every day on the Internet or e-mail like us lot  or try and find a phone number for them.
