I was walking and talking wearing blue jeans and a blue T shirt and taking photos of folk I knew. I didn't want to disturb the concentration of archers from GAS, Somerset or DWAA, because I could see that DCAS were giving them a right seeing too.

Ah! I have you, sir! Didn't manage to connect the dots at the time - was a bit absorbed with shooting really - but now I know.

Somehow managed to miss all the other AIUKers present - except Andrew P and the other Andrew (the judge).

And the concentration was used to good effect as well Adam. I must admit only missing the gold once in the second half of the shoot is pretty impressive. And then still to be alert enough to notice that the trophy you had won was about to be award to two other archers was quite funny. The look on the other guys face was priceless when he realised he hadn't won.

I had the hard job of collecting scores from targets 21, 22, 23 ,24 for the Somerset leader board.

Overall it sounds as if there was a much more impressive AIUK turnout than I'd thought. We need a way to get more "joined up"... maybe a poll thread for each competition, with the results being public so we can see who to look for (might need the "what do you really look like" thread indexing too).

You are right about the AIUK members being well hidden. And I am guilty for not shouting loud enough. I don't know why, but I had expected to see AIUK archers decked out in a moo logo or badge on their quiver. I clocked all the archers and didn't see one. With most posters using other names other than their proper names, how is anyone (unless they know from previous contact) know who anyone is. Before I go out again, I'm going to get a badge for my quiver! At least that will advertise me as a member to the board and get those curious to ask about the badge. I'm going to knock up some AIUK cards so I can hand them out at shoots if anyone asks about the moo badge. With a bit of luck we will get more members into the AIUK community.
