I didn't see the original link to the sendspace download as the post was removed, but it's entirely possible that the file was accidentally infected before uploading. It's also possible, however, that the user who reported the problem had the infection already and didn't know - result, a coincidental point towards the download.

Either way, I think removing the post was the right action - removing the user may have been an overreaction but our primary purpose here is to protect the membership and posters who have a zero or low post-count have to be treated with much suspicion until they prove to be trustworthy (there were other factors which were taken into consideration which I will not go into here).

Sounds like there was an unfortunate chain reaction here, but no doubt can be fixed and the membership can rest easy that the mods are looking after their global interests as well as humanly possible.

murray, as a mod he certainly has his authority to decide who can live and who must go. but my point is that. haven't find out the truth then give someone the death penalty. it's just not appropriate! at least, one should reply my email before give me my last injection. is that right?
as for the post count topic. i couldn't agree with u on that. how do we get our post count up without the first post? i must be a thief coz i live in a slum area? that kinda mindset isn't quite correct!

You are missing the point I feel.... we have in the past had people who come in and drop a virus in their 1st post, for this reason alone... if there is what is deemed to be a dodgy post then it is deleted and the acount suspended. BUT as we are all human, accidents do happen and as Murray pointed out you may have been subject to an unfortunate chain of events. The best way forward to is to take your concerns via PM as i'm sure the bulk of the membership would prefer this. We can only apologise for the inconvenience but you must appreciate we have many members to protect in what can be a nasty on-line world

As Bald Eagle says... go to your local supplier and ask their advice if there is no one at your club that you feel able to approach.

I'm guessing that Aardvark Archery is your nearest port of call if you are with Wyke archers!
