failing being able to find someone experienced and reliable at your club who can take you through it face to face - i prefer this method as a starting point -

http://www.archery-interchange.com/f...Park%20method))

- other people here will have differing opinions which is fine as bow / arrow tuning seems to be one of the biggest 'suck-it-and-see' aspects of archery

Different things work for different people. But they wont be much different from this Easton Archery: HOME (and click on tuning guide) have a read before you do anything and make sure you understand what is being said.

Minefield!

Tuning can be a minefield. Have you looked at d o w n l o a d Easton tuning guide, james park's book - plenty of material out there. But best to work with someone in your club or area who knows a bit about tuning and can help you avoid the pitfalls the first few times.

It's hard for some people to read instructions from a book, if you have someone show you step by step it sinks in easily. Go to your local pro shop and I'm sure they will teach you the basics FOC, I know I would!

daz650,
I don't think there is a best way. There are slightly different versions of a group of methods. Much depends on how well you can shoot groups. The results, and what you do with those results, depends on how well you can rely on what happens when you start using one of the methods.

I have had the best luck with the "Tuning for Tens" protocols. You can find it at the Texas Archery Association web site and it is also contained in the Archer's Reference (Google search should locate that one).

guys,

i m the formerly helixinred. this is my first time to post my reply with my new id. i believe it is also my last time as well.
few days ago. a member claimed i'd posted a virus on my reply. that was totally UNTRUE!!! i kindly suggest him to check or even relpace his anti-virus programme. in fact, the file i'd uploaded to sendspace was a pdf file which titled bow tuning by steve ellison.
the reason of uploading it to sendspace was that. i like to have myself an own copy of every useful material that i've found from the internet. therefore the best way to share is uploading it to some free file holding server like sendspace or yousendit etc etc..... if needed. as an archer myself. how can i do something distructive to those who love the same sport!!!
i also wanna say something to the moderator of this forum. i'd reached you twice in the past few days. but there wasn't any reply from you. it seemed you never wanna open your eyes a little bit bigger on my case. that's hurt! i m really disappointed! alright, just a simple question for u. have u checked everything before u jump into your conclusion? still don't wanna say anything? no problem!
again, this post might probably be deleted within short period of time but i don't really care! i feel more comfortable now!

anyway, the perpopse of this reply is to share rather than to blame! the url below is where i got that bow tuning pdf files from. it's "VIRUS FREE"! u know, i've spend more than 20 minutes to dig it up again from the internet and i hope it's useful.
Tenzone - Equipment

my best wishes to all archers here and good bye!
