Centre Serving - easy to do?

Just been out shooting and my centre serving below the nocking point on my recurve has frayed away so I need to put a new one on.

Can anyone recommend a good online instruction guide to do this?

Are any serving tools and strings well recommended?

Anyone know the make of winder the guy is using in the video - and whether or not the Beiter twister would enable you to serve the same way?

Dunno about the Beiter winder, but I don't see why not as I've always served my strings this way (with various serving jigs) - just have to get the tension right and away you go - serves in a matter of seconds.

Beiter winder is just a serving tool- albeit a good reliable one. I treated myself a while back when I wasn't so skint as now and I love it.

The little blue twister rod that clips in just makes the serving tool run faster down the string with less wrist-ache on a long straight run, that's all.

Beiter winder used same as all other serving tools, it's just easier to thread and easier (IMO) to get just the right tension for the serving.
