| Fixing straw targets I have a straw target in my garden which I use most days. However, my arrows have started sticking out of the back of the target as the middle bit has been pierced so many times. Is there a way to fix this? Anyone got any tips? Thanks. |

| See here: http://www.archery-interchange.com/f...boss-life.html Other than those things, the best you can do is introduce some kind of backing.

| Ahh yes, it was the method mentioned in post #7 in that thread I was going to suggest ![]() extending boss life - post 7 The reason I asked what kind of straw target is because if it's one of the square "Rover" ones you'd be better to ditch it and get a better boss. ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Yeah, they're not great, but you could always nail a few layers of decent quality carpet behind one of those butts to keep it going if on a tight budget.

| I saw a picture not so long ago (can't remember where unfortunately) where someone had fixed one of the replacement centre sections from, I think, a Danage target behind the centre of a straw target with bungee straps. That seemed to work well. |

| we do this at our club, you can get spider bungees from some halfords that consist of 3 long bungees threaded through a plastic ring. |

| Ah now thats an interesting idea, we'll have some spare fairly worn danage pieces + some straw bosses fairly worn in the centre soon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
