Many thanks
My own preference is for a finger sling, much easier than wrist sling, but its all down to what you feel comfortable with, as they're not that expensive why not try both then make your mind up.

I am using a wrist sling at the moment where the lace goes round the back of my hand, between the first two fingers then ends in a loop over my thumb. It's like half a wrist sling with half a finger sling, if you see what I mean. My normal finger sling was causing my finger some pain, the thumb, being stronger, was ok.

Hi Luce,it's home made.
If you imagine a finger sling, the sort with the two pieces of plastic tubing that adjust the sizes of the loops, yes?
Now imagine the loop that fits over you finger is made big enough to fit round you wrist. With the tubing adjusted for the wrist, the lace fits round the back of the hand, between the first two fingers and the other loop goes on the thumb.
So, you need a shoe lace and two bits of plastic tubing.
Tie the ends of the lace together; fit the two plastic bits over the loop end and slide to roughtly the right places. If the whole thing is too long re-tie the knot closer to the loop at the opposite end.

I use slipKnots rather than plastic tubing for the same effect.

It is until you pull the wrong part at least. Pull the wrong part and it comes completely undone. So I have two in my quiver. From my old bootlaces so it's not like they cost owt.

I'm with Kae and HH...

A finger or a wrist sling are much better than using a bowsling (i've used all three and prefera wrist sling over a finger, but both are far more comfortable and relaxing than a bow sling (mainly cause you actually have something infront of the riser to 'catch' the bow)

and I'm with kae and HH over buttons as well. Get a good form etc before you mess about with buttons

Sorry I've not posted up on this yet, but we build those types of slings. They are our Hybred Sling. Arround the wrist, arround the tumb. We also have the original Target Sling, which is a wrist sling, and we've got an adjustable finger sling.

We're trying to come up with another finger sling design as well. One that more resembles a shoe lace, since it offers more surface contact with the fingers, which causes less pulling and slip during the shot. We'll be posting up when we make our minds up. Of course all of our slings are adjustable in length to fit everyone from the largest to the smallest.

We're working on a web page right now, but my daughters personal page is some how making more progress for some reason ........go figure
