I thought one was for buttons and the other to fit the wrap around rest.
The forward bushing is for adding the umbrella holder (summer) and the hot drink holder (winter)

Usual length rule of thumb is that the shaft should not project beyond the riser (the Easton 1" for arrow selection isn't a totally random number). If you have thin arrows and hence a long point the clicker ends up around the end of the plate.

For some of us (I draw 32.75" to the front of the shelf) there's no such thing as too long an arrow. My only decision is finding long enough and stiff enough arrows from just a few choices. To badly paraphrase the old Humphry Bogart movie line, "We don't need no stinking arrow saws!" (smiley face goes here)

It's "to optimise the bow's tuning in case the arrow is to rigid or too long. Using this second hole moves the initial flex point of the arrow closer to its tip" Heretic Archer p 142
And a quote from George Technichov (SP)....
Quote:
The true purpose of the outboard 5/16-24 hole is to allow bolting a trailing arm rest (such as a Cavalier Elite) to the riser, because most cushion plungers are not well-suited to holding such rests in place. Of course some people use it as a secondary plunger location (with varying levels of success), but that's not the design intent.
I think GT would have a better idea of the intent of the designer than most.

You would think so wouldn't you? So I guess the Frangilli's and George Tekmitchov must disagree on that one then. Or perhaps they are the "some people" he refers too. They are, of course, great friends, as he has pointed out to me in previous posts ....
