Reminds me of the old Billy Connoly 'Welly' song - "Wellies they are wonderful, Wellies they are swell 'cos they keep out the water and they keep in the smell"

Even in the middle of Summer the grass can still be wet first thing and shooting in soggy socks all day is no fun, I know, I had those soggy socks!

Bought some Goretex lined trainers in a sale, for than £50, before the start of the outdoor season this year and they have been fantastic. Keeps you dry in the wet and lets your feet 'breathe' if it heats up.

Can't emphasize enough how important good footwear is. If like me, you're on the practice field at 7am before the start of a Fita that finishes at 5pm then you're on you feet for several hours, then mulptiply this by two or three if doing a shoot over two or three days.
