Sleeve catching the string?

A piece of Tubigrip is great for holding down a sleeve and keeping it out of the way.

Can you also use it to get sympathy for your co-competitors on a bad shooting day?

Not unless everyone else uses the same excuse

I have also used micropore tape or insulating tape in the past to control clothing

I've found using a Tubigrip of size designed for knees or legs fits better over clothing and doesn't restrict blood flow in your arm.

I've started shooting in polo shirts with (short) elasticated arms (I'm not saying which polo shirts as I'd probably get accused of plugging ). When it gets cold I wear a tight fitting, long armed thermal vest underneath the polo shirt. Never any problems with string catching

Masking tape for the clothing in an emeregency, also useful for a shooting line indoors.

Or alternatively one of your badges to pin the sleeve at the back. I find a fita star holds well...
