Yes - I have one of the snazzy silver bullets. Suposed to work underwater also but so far haven't done any shooting in Scotland.

I believe these were developed by NASA, some years ago.
When they spoke to the Russians about what THEY used to write with in outer space, they simply replied - "we dont have the budget to develop a specific pen for writing in space, so we use a pencil..."

Chinagraph pencils work very well in the wet and dont rub off accidentilly

i used them in the army for writing on map boards

We used waterproof scorecards at a shoot recently, not sure which one....but you can't use a gel pen on it - the ink runs if it rains!!!

When I moved back to Scotland from Welwyn Garden City, my club mates gave me a Fisher space pen... I have to say the last shoot I was at, I didn't need to use it - the sun shone all day!.

(OK so it was last August, but still....)
