| Returning clothes to white.... My mum kindly washed my archery whites with a terracotta sheet!!!! Everything is now pink  She tried washing them in 'colour run remover' but they are still pink Any further tips???

| Try using Oxyaction... in the pink tub, that sometimes works. Otherwise, soak them in dilute bleach. They'll go a bit crispy, but they should turn white! I don't know, blaming your mum....  Rachel

| Interesting how's it's mostly women who are answering this thread! (So why I am here, I ask myself??) My missus uses Ace for those sorts of accidents - it's a kind of dilute bleach solution - works well on my youngster's school shirts.

| White gloss paint is usually a permanent way to make my clothes white....of course it will ruin the washing machine.

| I'm with Clicki here, try Glo White, but when you buy it in a supermarket the same company make a stain remover as well. If my whites are looking a bit off then I use 2 liqui tabs of tetergent, a sachet or Glo White, AND one of their stain remover. They generally "glo" afterwards

| Hi Tracey, How about- Dye them green? Buy dark greens? Join a club with pink as its colours? start a gay archery club and play the homophobic card against judges? Picket GNAS to change the 'white rule' to pink? Take up chess? or Don't give a dam and turn up at a comp. All judges seam to be calling inclemant weather at everyone I've been to, to avoid checking club colours!!! On a practical level M&S second stores currently have loads of womens white clothes on sale - shorts,trouser,tops. (don't ask how I know) |
