Quiver tubes

Some time ago, I had a quiver that was wearing out at the base of the tubes, & the arrows would try to make their escape through the bottom. I soon got that fixed by putting 35mm film containers to the bottom of each tube. Then put some sponge into the tube & push to the bottom, this will take out the shock.
I have since changed quivers, but it was a good "Get-me-by"

I make quivers and put a thick piece of leather in the base and arrows do not go through, ever! I buy the tubes from a golf outlet in boxes of 250

I love that sort of engineering!Cliveanne you are a genius. I wish I'd thought of it first. That sort of thinking seems to be on the decline-mores the pity.
I'm all in favour! Nice one.

Glue a magnet in the bottom of each tube and the arrows are less likely to fall out. A big magnet behind the gold would also be an advantage. Or will the arrows be attracted to debris of points in the target?

Our wonderful treasurer who is also very handy with the sewing machine, made up sone cloth tubes, with belt attachments into which we put some cut down plastic pipe we got from the DIY store. Duct Tape on the bottom of the pipe helps stop the arrows wearing out the bottm material

I used just the caps from 35 mm containers and glued (Yoohoo) them to the base of the tube.

you can also use the clear easton tubes which you get when you purchase easton shafts by the dozen...you can cut them to specific lengths to fit your quiver...works quite well.....

Well I never thought I would see a thread talking about quiver tubes, whatever next! We at Arrowhead bung the tubes with cut pieces of scrap wadding/fur fabric as it is using up the scrap which otherwise would go in the bin and therefore land fill. Another plastic cap which fits exactly is that off Mum roll on deodorants. Actually wrote to the manufacturer of the said item and explained what I wanted them for but despite repeated efforts got no reply.

Wink Arrow carrier

I have just made a nice arrow tube out of the tube that they arrived in the post in!I cut it to length, foam padding in the botom, made a push on lid and covered it in duct tape. It looks ok and protects the fletching and shafts when its in the car etc. I`m on thin Ice buying extra gear at the moment due to funds so I`m making do for now. It works good for me!
