Cheap Longrod and side rod protection

If you want a cheap way of protecting you longrod and sides in your bag, go and buy some cheap pipe lagging.

The foam stuff is about 80p from B&Q and will cover all your standard single rods. If you have multirod (like Beiter) you can get flexible piping with a wider interior diameter, but is normally more expensive.

To use, run a knife down the pre-cut slit to open it up down the length. Cut to the right length. Simply push the rod in and it will easily pull back out.

Sponge.

Or just use the pipe!
My beiter longrod is too long for my case and upon noticing this one of my fellow club members presented me with a tube made from a narrow drainpipe, works a treat!

I just dump my Beiter long and side rod in the bag. Its too heavy when you put them in tubes. Scratches, yes there are, after the the 1st one you got, you will not feel too bad about it. Anyway, you can always change the cover and change to other colour too..

Ah, but some of us are too poor to buy your beautiful, high quality products (Also avilable in Purple)

Waiting for Easton to put an X10 logo on some lagging and charge £50 for it.

Football socks for twins, ties for stabilisers/limbs. Works nicely if your too tight to buy proper limb covers...
