| Yeah they are a good button. With the Hoyt super rest if you decide to use a button with it then you need to remove the little flap infront of the rest arm. This flap acts as a button. To remove it be very carefull with a sharp knife.

| on your riser, above the grip, there is a threaded hole. The button screws in from the opposite side from the arrow rest. There are two adjustments, one for length - control how far from the riser the arrow shaft is. and spring tension ( some buttons come with multiple springs to allow further adjustment). this determines how much the button resists the arrow as it attempts to flex towards the riser upon loose. | They attach to the bow just above the grip. There should be one or two threaded holes. The botton should screw into one of these. The one closest to the archer is prefered. The idea of the button is to line up the arrow and provide enough resistance to straighten the arrow so it flys as straight as possible. That video I posted the link for shows what archers paradox causes. The flexing in the arrow is the effects of archers paradox. The buttons job is to reduce that as much as possibel. Anyone else feel free to elaborate on that as Im going home soo so dont have the time to explain in too much detail.

| Just replaced a very cheap Cartel button and even worse Cartel magnetic rest with a Shibuya DX button and Spig Z/T rest. Total cost of £25 quid. Can't go too badly wrong with that and should do me for a bit. Basically, most rests need a button. Roughtly set the center shot and leave the button at default pressure until you get used to the set-up. Then read the large number (and VERY LONG) threads about tuning arrow spine with the button. | Hoyt Super Rest Cheap, Easy to change, Simple. I think this year, I ended up with a few less spares because of magnetic and wrap around rests falling apart on other archers bows. I think the archers in question are now using super rests. They were good enough for 1350+ fitas so they should be good enough for me. ![]()
