| aiming my pin dont get in the way of the gold because i aim it at the very bottom of the gold just on the line no arrows in the way no x just a line really works well for me , know shooting very good scores. |

| sight pin focus I dont have a problem with having a sight pin on my sights as I cant see the bloody thing anyway being old and half blind. All I can see is the ring so I suppose that might be an advantage, ![]()

When you are really, truly concentrating on that small spot in the middle of the gold (rather than just looking at the gold area) I think that a. your head is much more still b. you are much less likely to have boiw arm drop, or unwanted bow arm movement c. the sheer act of concentration makes your conscious mind much less likely to interfere with the sub-conscious making the shot. Just wish I could actually do it for more than about 10 arrows out of 60! |

![]() I have also found focussing on the gold helps. Unfortunately, like you, I have found really focussing every time is not at all easy - I have the blacks and whites (and greens

| I use a pin, but most of the time I ignore the fact that its there, when you are shooting at 90m, I can't see how anyone would be able to focus on the boss and on a pin less then 2 foot in front of them (at the same time). However when I get closer, I find myself using both the loop and the pin, and for indoor, I tend just to use the pin. Agreed if you focus on the gold, then move the sight into line of vision, your shots will become more consistent, but then you shouldn’t really be thinking about "aiming" until you are ready to release the shot. |

| I have used an open ring for many years. Find I concentrate less on aiming and allows my technique to flow better. I use the large beiter ring. At 90mt the whole target is in the ring. All I have to do is center the target in the ring and my group lands around the gold. What apature you use is personal however I always recomend using just a ring. this seems to give the best results for most people.

| I too use a beiter ring...and have found more success with a 12mm indoors than an 8mm.. just about the whole of the red rings fit inside the 12mm which means I don't try to centre on the gold as I do with the 8mm T.
