Some advice needed

I shoot a 66 inch bow on a 23inch riser, the limbs are 38@28 but Iv,e had them trimmed to about 26inches coz I was struggling thru the clicker as Iv,e not been shooting for years.
I intend to buy a 25inch riser with limbs to make a 68inch bow.
Q. will this setup be more tolerant?
Q. which weight limbs would suit arrow lengths of 26/26.5inch?
Q. Which a/c/c,s would match the bow and setup?
I live in the middle east so I cannot go down the road to an archery shop and try the kit before I buy!
Any advise would be most welcome.

If you have a 26 inch draw then a 66inch bow would probably be best for you. This would be a 25inch riser with "short" limbs.

From what you have said though, it sounds like you need to get back into shooting. As you warm up again, your draw length will increase as you get back into practice.
Getting arrows that are a little too long would be a good idea, and not shooting with a clicker until you can maintain a steady draw length again.

The easton website will give you a good idea what arrows you need.

Cheers, Kae.

1. yes Longer limbs tend to be more forgiving as they are not having to bend as much. I have gone up from 68" to 70" and I love the difference. A much nicer shot.
2. If your old limbs felt good to shoot then stick with that poundage, 38#. Your limbs should not be determined by your arrow but the other way round. Always go for the limb that feels comfortable.
3. As Kae said. Go to the easton website and input your information. Its very accurate and I always use it for my arrows. My suggestion would be to go for the stiffer spine shaft.

Easton recomends (26"draw and 38#) 3x-04 shaft size. I would go for the stiffer 3l-04 as most people get better results with stiffer shafts and also as you are drawing 26 1/2 and the easton site doesnt measure 1/2". These should do you a treat.

The bow length you currently shoot is sounds fine. How about getting a low poundage set of limbs and start working back up to your current poundage. You may have to also consider a new set of arrows, but as Kae said check the Easton web site for arrow matching.

The one thing I noticed is when I put my clicker the same distance from my button, as it was on my old bow, I noticed I had more arrow length to pull through the clicker. This is because of the design of the riser, the button hole is moved closer to the archer. This makes it appear you are drawing less distance but its not so. Your draw hasnt changed its just the posistion of the button. If you use a clicker just move it forward to the optimum position. If you dont use a clicker then It wont make any difference.
