F ff fff fetch your cloth!

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

Its good to see people looking forward to beginner lessons, unfortunatley the time just gets slower and slower the closer you get to them!

Hope you have fun, Kae.

keep busy to take your mind of it.

soon be round then you'll get the bug and never leave - in fact you'll wonder what else you used to do before archery

seems so long ago - all of two years! Mrs.tel started with the "I've always fancied having a go at that", now I think she probably wishes she'd never mentioned it! It'll come round soon enough, then as previously suggested you'll wonder why it took so long to become part of your life...

Get used to the wait.

Waiting for the next opportunity to shoot seems to be one of the constants in life (Like taxes! ) ....

..but they are usually worth the wait!

I wish I had a pound for every time I had heard that, I could buy myself a new Merlin X range bow by now.

I have only met one other real life "fetch a cloth" and then that program came out, still I never get mixed up with anyone else.

Five days to go and counting.

get a piece of stetchy elastic, one with some mild resistance and work your shoulders to build up your sports specific conditioning. Hitting the gym is only of limited use. work out what eye dominance applies by making a picture window at arms length and bringing it to your face (slowly) until it is clear what eye you favour.

I am on week 4 (tonight) of my 6 week beginners course. I had been pestering the lady who organasises the course for about 6-8 weeks before starting. The club had a few problems with venues etc which delayed the start of the course. The wait was horrendous. When I finally got a start date, I had a wee ingly feeling of excitement

however, I have now started & I'm completely hooked....can't wait to get my own gear in a few weeks once I've finished the course.

I found the best things to do in preparation is:
1. Start saving your cash. decent kit is not cheap
2. Learn all you can just now....then forget it for your first lesson
Don't underestimate how addictive this is.

Have fun....
Alistair

Is it a 6 week course of 1hr sessions?

The one I'm currently doing is a 3 week course of 2hr sessions.
