The company I work for often sources fixings of all kinds from a shop in Oldham (Gtr Manchester) - www.chaddertonfixings.co.uk

It is a small shop full of all kinds of nuts, bolts, washers etc. that you can buy singly for a few pence or by the kilo.

Not sure if it's much use to those of you outside the Northwest tho......

RS Components also stock a huge variety of fixings and they have a website. A tip I got from a Senior Coach was to smear the grub screw thread with beeswax before inserting - it is better than TPTFE tape.
