| I had the same problem with my helix. Quick trip down the local Car spares place and I had a pack of 4 which were better than the origonals. Pop down you local car spares places. Alternatly there is a website people have posted links to in previous posts. The website specialises in fixings including all sorts of grub screws.

| These can be very tricky things to get hold of, even for dealers. I understand that normally they are fitted into the riser and the first turn or two of the thread on the hole are spoiled, so it should be impossible to take them out completely without forcing them. I have however heard of a few falling out, so this obviously isn't always the case. Either try Hoyt directly or find an alternative from a source outside the sport, as already suggested. | |||||||||||||

| If you can't get sorted give me a P.M. I'm sure I've some in my box of tricks.

| Thanks all for your ideas and replies. Lez at Aardvark has put a couple of pattern parts in the post in the hope they'll fit- and if Ian -'Cestria' can find me one i'll be back on the shooting line quicksmart........even if i do have to shoot in green tights and post the pictures by way of a Thankyou !!!! Otherwise- it's a pig of a job finding grubscrews, UK shops don't seem to carry them and it could be weeks before anything comes from european dealers(if) - my advice- don't lose them! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Glad you got sorted. For future reference remember grub screws or alen type screws are widely available but not on the High street. The screws are available from fixings & fastening suppliers (try yellow pages) or alternatively ask the mechanic at your local garage where they get their nuts and bolts from, it's usually a small unit on an industrial estate. I'm a bit heavy handed when it comes to alen screws, always chewing them up, and when I found myself in the same boat as you my local fixing and fastening supplier sold me up a complete set for my Axis for 75p, granted they did not stock stainless as per the originals but hey ho I wasn't complaining. | |||||||||||||

The hardest for me was sourcing the 7/64 allen key so beloved of US bow makers, it's not a standard one in UK imperial sets. 9/64 is the other one like that, tho less used. However, I have found that WAS always has a stock of nuts and bolts, and these days I keep a box of spares for things I adjust at times so could lose (sight screws, draw-stop, bolt holding rest in place, thread adapter for stabilizer weights) and my module screws are in with blue threadlock... I learnt the hard way that this is the only thing to do! P.
