| Had the problem of tight limbs on my partners SF riser and KAP limb combo. One limb was very tight the other mega tight to remove. After trying her limbs on my Matrix riser and finding them very tight on this also, I Checked them over I found where they were tight was the inside faces of the fork where they fit around the limb bolts. As the limbs are mass produced the tightness will undoubtably be caused by wear of the milling cutter used to machine the fork. giving a very slightly under size slot. (they will have been one of the last few sets to machined before the cutter was changed) Some fine wet and dry paper and a bit of patience cured the problem. I just kept trying them until a good snug but not tight fit was obtained. People who have cured the problem with a bit of lube have probably got slightly under size fork slots too. Jeff |
| I had this same problem in my Nexus (same dovetail limb mount in Helix), I am using Vector limbs. First please forgive me, I don´t know how to tell this in English, I hope you understand what I did, if not I´ll post pictures later today. Only way I could take limb out, was to open screw of the limb and take dovetail off. I shortened the spring from the limb, it didn’t help. My problem was that the pin, which is in dovetail pressured by spring went too deep in hole in the Nexus dovetail limb mount. My solution was to twist dovetail limb mount in Nexus. I moved it both ways little bit at the time and tried to pull limb. When I got limb out, I locked dovetail mount screws. Now, my limbs are tight, but I can pull them out myself.
