| Had the complete opposite......loose limbs. The notch in the limb block so loose a fit to the limb bolt that after stringing the limb could still swivel from side to side. Absolute murder to find center and tune as the bow would change string alignment, brace height and even nock point and draw weight to some extent during a shoot. I didn't realise this for months -others put it down to inconsistent form - I complained that my bow was 'moody' and had a will of its own! Well , it did! In my short experience ( a year shooting come end March) I'd rather tight limbs than loose ones, leaving me 'some small degree of wear without hindrence'. But obviously too tight to take down after shooting is Too Tight! Take 'em back it's legitimate cause for complaint I'd say. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| My Winex limbs are stiff to pull out. I lick the ends and they do not stick, I am reluctant to oil or grese them as they will mark the bowcase. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I had a pair of Synerzy's which were really tight to remove until i smeared a small bit of white grease round the fork in the limb and it cured it with a nice click.it drys out and it never gave me any probs hope this helps...

| Thanks for the replies, awsome. I did think about grease or WD 40 but to be honest it took two of us to get the lower limb out which can't be right. Anyway, went to the shop this afternoon and tried another pair of limbs of the same make but i also took the weight up a couple of pounds as i'm on a limb exchange program. Also, the mushrooms for want of a better word that the limb sits under were loose ie all the way in but easy to turn by finger so they nipped those up. Result - the limbs seemed to locate more positively and they do not rattle or fall out unstrung. Loosed a few arrows off and then took the limbs off, EASY. I was also shown that rather than pull the limbs off backwards, put your thumb onto the back of the riser and push against it whilst pulling the riser downwards and out backwards, sort of in a prising action and that made it more easier and controllable as well. So, i've got my first Portsmouth on Wednesday so we shall see after a few ends if the limbs will still come out with ease. Thanks again for the good tips ![]() | |||||||||||||

| I'm just trying to suss out was it the limb change, the nipping up of the mushroom thingy or both when i realised that the spring loaded post on the limb can be pushed in very easily whereas on the original limbs it was painful on the thumb to push it in as it was stiff. Maybe the answer , who knows. | |||||||||||||

| I have found that running my string wax over the limb ends every now and again makes them easy to insert and remove without marking the bow case.
