Speak Up

I Dont Have Problem With Others Talking On The Line As I Find That The Voices In My Head Drown Them Out. Maybe You Could Get The Friends In Your Own Head To Speak Up?

I dont know how I missed this thread before concentration isnt normally a problem for me but satarday night I found my concentration totaly shredded not only was there a large family group of spectators/archers (noobies) who just would not keep the noise down at one point one of them came up behind me while at full draw and yelled "EXCUSE ME" just what you need or what ? then add into the mix the muppet on the same target as me who insisted on going on and on about what a bad shot any shot I made that was outside the 5 spot (paa face)was he even asked my when I was drawing up what poundage my limbs were, yep you know what happened I crashed and burned almost thirty points under my P.B.
Every trick I could think of I tried to get my focus back nothing worked so here I am looking for some new tecniques to try
Sorry to harp on but now its out of my system I can put it behind me

Hi Spiderz, i have found over the last couple of months i dont think or here anything, i can shoot blind at 20 yds with the same consistancy. i think i picked this up at the Lilleshall training course last year where they try to get you to shoot with your eyes closed and feel rather than see the shot. i have no idea on the line who is near me, all that is in my head is looking for the same feeling as shooting blind.
Sounds far out but after the course it has worked for me.

I shoot blind for a few ends three or four times a week, I thought everyone did. I get my archers shooting blind quite early on but only at short distances.

play a song in your head

That's a tricky one, most people get used to it and stop noticing outside noises after a shooting for years.
But a trick i always used to do was to play a song in my head, it can even help you with your shot timing!

Concentrate on a single flame and feed all your passions into it-fear, hate, anger-until your mind became empty. Become one with the void,Tam said and you could do anything.
