The two principle missing factors are that the arrow flies in an arc (so drop not directly proportional to speed) and drag. But include either of those and you no longer have a back of envelope calculation.

Acceleration due to gravity is a constant, the drag for a 1 second flight between the two sets of arrows would be the same or as near as makes no difference. Mass shouldn't affect drag.

Assuming the vectors of flight were the same, initial acceleration and launch angle (in my model horizontal). If the angle were increased the vertical component could easily be calculated using trig.

Perhaps you could ellaborate on the balistics. I'd be interested if we could produce a practical way to calculate this.

Take as being true "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line". The more curvature in its path between two points the further the arrow has to travel to go from A to B. The slower arrow travels further, spends more time in the air and so gravity acts on it for longer.

Drag changes the speed of the arrow in flight and also it's trajectory so again both distance travelled and time of travel.
