Smile better late than never

Hi everyone

Just thought I'd introduce myself before I get in trouble again for being a spammer - as you can see from my join date I have been a member for some time.

My name is Denis I'm a member and currently captain of the mighty Edinburgh University Archery Club. I'm an ecology student. I started archery as a fresher in 2005 and was quickly hooked. Highlights to my archery career so far have been winning quite a few medals and being part of the EUAC BUSA senior team twice in 2006 and also achieving bowman in less than a year of shooting. I have been blighted with a shoulder injury for the last 9 months or so (I should of stopped shooting for that amount of time but I'm addicted), seems to be finally cleared up - archery is so much more fun when it isn't painful!

I currently shoot ACE 570s (with an inch out the back - wish i'd bought those 520s!), an inferno Hoyt Nexus with G3s but shot all my best scores last year with a scabby second hand (or 5th or 6th hand...) Border Talisman AKA Best Zenit , ancient hoyt limbs along with second hand cartel triple 600s - awesome bow but I got tired of having the scabbiest bow on the line even though it was capable of much bigger scores than I was! Am very happy with the Nexus its cool!

As well as archery my other hobby (hopefully career one day) is filmmaking checkout my youtube page for some random videos that i have made including some promos I made for EUAC last year (that were part of a publicity campaign that doubled our membership!!) http://uk.youtube.com/wingfoot2004

Once again hi and I hope I can contribute something to the community. Big hello to all the members I have had the pleasure of meeting in real life especially those from the university circuit!

cheers

Denis
