Hi

The bow arrived today ..it was really hard stringing it but no problem pulling..

Is there an easier way to string these bows other than a bow stringer??

Its a 70lb ...Played with it in the garden ...it is very fast !!

Thanks

Rob

I've seen heavy 'warbow' types strung by putting your knee into the middle of the bow and pulling the top of the bow towards you to string.... I've never tried this and may not have described the technique too well

Hi Little Miss Purple!!

Been shoot a Scythian for a while so wanted to upgrade..

The current bow is a bit longer ...I have seen them strung by putting the bow under the knees and I have tried that too and no way can it be done alone so I am trying to get used to stringing it with a stringer...its just so awkward!!

Thanks for the info though...any help is always appreciated!!

Rob

That's not a technique for stringing a bow - that's a recipe for a hernia!

Thunk

Thats about right !lol

Went to the club today ...its a brilliant bow accurate and a flat tragectory and after three hours shooting there is no fatigue on my shoulders or back...

Fell more knackered stringing it than shooting...will have to resign myself to having an assistant !!lol

Rob

Had a few conversations with other archers as to why I chose a bow with this pull ...at the end of the day its about survival the bow was not originally for competition it was for food and protection and as much fun as I have shooting this bow ...the underlying reason is that in a turbulant world when the smelly stuff hits the fan ...at least I have something!!
