Hiya from a Lover of Archery!
Hi Everyone!

My name's Cath an I've been shooting since the beginning of July

It all started when I was twee and I went along to a shoot somewhere in York that my Uncle was competing in... an I thought to myself:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! This Looks AMAZING!!!

Then about a decade later - oh, wait.... no, probably more like 17 years or so (Jeeze! how old do I feel now?!) I finally got my back end in gear to find a beginner's course local to me. And I found dear sweet Pastures Company of Archers in Derby. So not forgetting to grab my family by the short and curlies, we raced off to start this course! A month later and two easily excitable recurve ladies are ready to attack any target you put infront of us!

I have to admit, I did not think we would be competing so soon after joining up with the club (is this normal?!?!?!??) - but our beginner's course coach, Lee, is so lovely and supportive... He pushed a bit of paper under my nose an said "Go there, shoot, an have a giggle!"

An what do you know, first open shoot an I'm takin medals home already!

I was happily shocked, so was Mum (if a little jealous?!) and I think I stunned Si (Simon1977)!

Anyways, I am a waffle machine, and I get more productive on the waffle-front with tea and cake! (just as well this forum supports an hehe )
