| Hello from the USA Hello all! I'm Mike from Pennsylvania in the USA. I shoot mostly short metal riser hunting recurves. I shot a 17" DAS Kinetics recurve for a time. (17" ILF bow) I currently shoot a 19" TAC Firefly with Samick ExtremeBF limbs. I am currently set at about 50#. I also have a set of Synerzy limbs that come in a few pounds lighter, though I haven't messed with them too much yet. I mostly shoot local 3D tournaments and dabble a bit in field archery. In the winter I shoot some indoor target leagues. Most of this I do to prepare for bow hunting. I am not an accomplished tournament archer but am looking to improve. I've been shooting recurves seriously for only about 2 years and am still learning. As a result I have pretty much given up on shooting compounds. I stumbled across this site the other day when doing a search for some Samick products. It looks like a fantastic site and while I doubt I'll have too much useful information to contribute, I look forward to learning from all of you. Most of my internet archery activity is based on a relatively new archery board, Pirates Of Archery • Index page While our focus is mostly on traditional archery equipment and hunting, all disciplines are welcome!      |

| Hi there Mike, and welcome to our little world! You'll find plenty of target archery chat on here, but nothing on hunting. It's illegal in the UK so we don't even discuss it. I'm interested in your bow though. I've never seen a recurve riser that size. What length does the bow come out at? Any chance of a picture?

| Welcome aboard, Jaeger!   You'll find everything you need to know about target, 3D and field shooting, but as you know, hunting is illegal in the UK so we don't really discuss it here. Still, there are plenty of other topics to discuss, so have a look around and don't be shy. OK, so Thunk pretty much said what I did, but welcome nevertheless.

| Yes, indeed. Welcome Jaeger! Like Thunk, I am intrigued by your bow, what its performance characteristics are, and what makes it suitable for hunting as opposed to target. Or is it simply size?
