| Saying hello Hi, I'm a Scot now living in Hungary. I did some archery for an indoor season a few years back but for personal reasons couldn't follow it through. Since moving here last year I've been looking for something to do, and what better than archery which I had always hoped to take up again! I am currently using a very cheap and not so cheerful recurve, but I have a Ragim Wolf on order (saw it in the shop and fell in love with it), I guess in the fullnes of time I'll probalby get a Grozer or Kassai. I am keen to develop my skills in trad archery (it was target recurve before) and in particular flatbow, mainly because I think the bows look so nice. I also hope to get involved in Field. At the moment I'm using the garden which lets me shoot safely up to 40m. I am currently searching for archery clubs close to where I live, but my biggest problem will be that I have yet to learn Hungarian, so if I don't find answers to my questions in the existing forums I may have to start some of my own  At the moment I'm pretty glad that there are forums like this around as I think I'll need them.Looking forward to getting to know you all. | Hi Peter! Glad you could join us. I suppose the chances of you learning Hungarian are somewhat better than the Hungarians learning Scots! Meanwhile a new delivery of cake has arrived -  . And a bit more to wash it down!

| Jo napot kívánok! Hi, Íjász here. Been having a look around for a while and finally joined a few days ago. Forgot about this thread, my apologies to all. I now live in Hungary though a resident Scot till last year. I tried archery a few years ago for a couple of indoor seasons but for various reasons couldn't follow it through. What a better place to restart than here in Hungary. | Groveling Apologies For some reason I though I hadn't said hello......so after (!) starting a new thread thought I better confirm it so a search revealed that this is in fact my second hello  sorry bout that, it appears that its not just archery I'm rubbish at but internet forums too! and to all.Moderators please feel free to pull this thread |
