South African living in London saying hi
Compound shooter recently moved over from South Africa to the UK for 2 years. Been shooting for around 4 years. Looking forward to getting a bit of shooting done over here as soon as I get a new bow in December. Back home I shot a 70lbs Ross CR334 which I'll hopefully replace with another Ross. Going to try my hand at shooting a longbow now as well.

thanks for the warm welcome! nope i haven't found a club yet, just waiting to get my new bow when i go back to sa in december. i heard a rumor that i can't shoot more than 60lbs at most clubs, is this true?

If you choose to compete in GNAS competitions then yes this is true some clubs may also run this rule to prevent excessive wear of the targets. However if you only here for a while and you wont be compete in GNAS of FITA rounds then it mite not be a problem. It mite be best to get a bow that can be shot at both 60 and 70lb just as a precaution
